The flowpack packaging machines are with a continuous cycle of work and are used for the packaging of single or grouped (in a plate) goods with irregular geometric shape, such as waffles, biscuits, pastries, croissants, snacks, etc... The method of operation of this type of machines for packaging is the following:
1. The machine is loaded with a roll of film, which will be used to form the package. The most widely-used materials are thermo-sealable films with single or double layers, such as PP-PP, PP-PE, PA-PE, PE-PET, BOPP, CPP. The design of the desired package has to be created and applied on the film in advance.
2. The film is folded to the shape of a sleeve via the package-forming system. The formed sleeve is drawn via a rolling mechanism, which simultaneously closes the longitudinal seal of the sleeve.
3. The product is placed on sockets, which move it towards the formed sleeve.
4. After that, the formed sleeve is split up to separate packages via a rotational jaw, which simultaneously seals the transverse seals and cuts the ready package.
