Work principle of the horizontal packaging machines (hffs)

The horizontal packaging machines are used for the forming, filling and sealing of plastic bags from the following types: 3 side sealed sachet, 4 side sealed sachet and doypack package. The method of operation for this type of machines is the following:
1. The machine is loaded with a roll of film, which will be used to form the package. The most widely-used materials are thermo-sealable films with single or double layers, such as PP-PP, PP-PE, PA-PE, PE-PET, BOPP, CPP.
2. The film is folded in half and is directed in a horizontal position, consequently passing through a variety of mechanisms, which function is to close the vertical seals, form the bottom of the package and apply eventual extras to the package (e.g. a zipper for closing and opening the package).
3. The formed sleeve is filled via a dosing device and after that the package is sealed from above.
4. During the last stage, the ready package is separated via a cutting mechanism and is placed on an output belt for the ready production.
